What do I get?

Included in the conversion are all of the accessories and parts necessary for completion.
Every single component from the motor to the nuts and bolts has been specifically chosen because it is the best in the world for application in your car. The fabrication and build quality are second to none. Some of the items used include: Koso gauges, SideWinder chain, Magnaflow muffler, Barnett cables, Quiaffe differential, Mark Williams axles, and much more. Everything has also been, powder coated, brushed, carpeted or wrapped for the finest in textures and finishes.

Why less is more?

Lets be honest, there are a couple of different kits out there to convert your Smart Car to motorcycle power, some in the U.S. and some overseas. Until now this conversion has usually been limited to GSXR1000 engines and have ranged from cutting large sections out of the rear floor of the car to accommodate the motor to even mounting the engine where the passenger would sit! Why is our conversion better? We have taken every step to make sure that you are not ruining your Smart Car with a Sawzall, there is a very small amount clearance that needs to be done to fit the motor, the only metal that is removed would fit in the palm of your hand! This is a true bolt-on kit. If for any reason you ever wanted to return your car back to stock it would be very possible.

Why doesn’t it come with independent suspension?

Let’s face it, the smart car handles really good. The engineers new what they were doing when they designed the rear suspension, its simple, its light and it works. Designing an independent suspension isn’t a job to be taken lightly, there are many factors such as unsprung weight, camber change through travel, not to mention spring rates and shock valving that are very easy to get wrong and extremely difficult to get right. We decided to keep the stock suspension and subframe in tact because of these reasons…plus you don’t have to buy different wheels.
On a side note, you will shave a few hundred pounds off the rear of your Smart with the installation of this kit, which is a really good thing! As a result the rear end is going to lift up a bit from lack of weight, lowering springs for the rear are recommended but not a necessity.
